I met Donna Andrews a couple weeks ago. She flew here from California to help teach me how to control my seizures. She used to have seizures 36 years ago (5 -10 a day!) and doctors weren't helpful in getting them under control. They basically told her she was going to have to live with it. Well, she got to know herself quite well, inside and out and she got to understand what brought on the seizures - usually stress and negative thoughts. Check out her website and see how she can teach YOU to keep your seizures down...or gone!

I will let you all know more about MY success once I have gotten to truly know myself and find what brings mine on. I can say, I WILL grasp it and be seizure free soon! Just to give you an idea of what is the #1 focus from Donna? Breathe. That is right! Take long deep breathes throughout the day. It brings the cell activity that is wound up like a top at bay. And another focus? Don't think of the past, don't think of the future....think of NOW! It has now been a week since my last seizure and I can already feel a HUGE difference. I am so glad I found Donna! I'll keep you posted on my progress and tell you more about the program in the next blog!

Thank you for all the helpful information you have included in your blog!
i too have had seizures on and off since i was 16 or so. the doctors could find nothing wrong and i was on dilantin for many many years and it worked well - at least i didn't hardly have any seizures.
finally i went off dilantin and was seizure free for a while and then they started again. they put me on phenobarbital (1 grain) and that worked too. i've also been on klonopin too. finally, after being seziure free for a few years i weaned myself off the klonopin. during that time i had found out about epsom salt baths and somehow knew they were good for me. i knew magnesium helps control seizures because i used to take calcium magnesium with good results. so anyway, lately i've been having trouble with seizures again and realized that i have not taken an epsom salt bath in a very long time... i used to take one almost every day and rub the epsom salts on my skin to exfoliate. i have been having to take a little bit of klonopin or xanax lately because i have had some of the 'shakes' that i get before i have seizures and knew that i better do something. i also take ACV but i take a very small amount. i recently (3 years ago) found out i am a diabetic and i am now on insulin and i do get the shakes (small seizures) sometimes if my blood sugar goes too low - so i have to be careful with the ACV since it really lowers my blood sugar. i have been able to lower my insulin dose however using the ACV. i'm glad that you found out about epsom salts. i just started taking a little bit in virgin coconut oil - i made a paste - i can get it down easier this way - LOL - and i may even make the spray that someone else talked about. i have had 2 gran-mal seizures in the past 2 years - and i really don't want this to start up again.
good luck and feel free to write to me about this. it is hard not having anyone to talk to about this who understands.

I have had 4 seizures in 6 months but do not want to go on anti seizure meds (I took lamictal briefly got the rash) I have been drinking epsom salt half tsp day. I had 15 second complex partial seizure today..does this mean i should take the dreaded meds for seizures>
Hello, I was told about epsom salt. And I would like to know have anyone used it for complex partical seizures? And if it helped. And if so how much? Dee-Dee
